School Committee

The School Committee operates under the guidance of the Committee on Education of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends.

In general, the School Committee is responsible for:

• Setting long term strategy and enacting policies for the school,
• Overseeing the school's financial affairs,
• Maintenance and enhancements to the physical structure,
• Supporting the Head of School in the areas of long-range planning and fund raising,
• Seeking the continued spiritual growth of all in the school community,
• Hiring and supervising the Head of School,

The current school committee consists of 7 members:

• Larry Tatum - Clerk; Professor of Statistics; Parent of three students; one graduated, and two still in WFS.
• John Cope - Treasurer; Local Businessman; Grandfather of two students; one graduated and one still in WFS.
• Kate Latimer - Parent of two students; one graduated and one still in WFS.

• Marietta Donovan
• Karen Nalton - Parent of three Westfield graduates.
