Teacher Fozia and Teacher Tasama's 1st-grade class has been engaging in project-based learning to determine their own answers to the driving question:
"What makes animals endangered and how can we protect endangered animals?"
The students worked in groups, their first foray into working together this way, to open this open-ended question.
The groups presented on the endangered species of Bog Turtles, Peregrine Falcons, Southern Gray Tree Frogs, and Bobcats. They all shared the impact the projects had on them and their takeaway from it.
Each student presented with enthusiasm and confidence!
