Magic: The Gathering Club is a strategy-based card game club where students learn and play Magic: The Gathering in a structured, inclusive, and educational environment. Students participate in guided gameplay, deck-building workshops, and themed play sessions (such as commons-only or limited-power formats) designed to promote fairness, creativity, and strategic thinking.

The club includes:

  • Organized gameplay (Commander, Singleton, and custom low-power formats)
  • Deck building support, including how cards work together, basic probability, and strategic decision-making
  • Educational value, reinforcing reading comprehension, critical thinking, planning, and problem-solving
  • Social value, emphasizing sportsmanship, communication, collaboration, and respectful competition
  • Card awards and incentives, where students earn cards through participation and gameplay rather than random giveaways
  • Access to shared materials, including cards, tokens, sleeves, and play aids, so all students can participate regardless of prior experience or resources

No prior experience is required. New players are taught the fundamentals of the game, while experienced players are encouraged to mentor others and explore more advanced strategies.
