About Me

Donna Hughes Gore entered the field of education due to a desire to make an impact in the lives of young people. She has worked closely with students as a teacher and counselor in various settings and grade levels.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in Psychology and a master’s degree from Hunter College in Education with a certification in School Counseling. Upon completion of her graduate education, Donna began working as a counselor in a high school. She immensely enjoyed working with the students and their families, holding this position for 12 years.

Donna also received an academic life coaching certification which enables her to offer services to young people that focus on improving self-awareness, creating better systems, and developing a clear vision for life. To further encourage youth she created a podcast, Young NM Powrd, that offers inspiration, self-help, and life coaching tips.

Donna enjoys writing and singing. She lives with her husband, Christopher.
