Physical Education

Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds

Physical Education is comprised of teaching various motor skills and movement patterns. The objective is to make each student physically literate and for them to be able to self check sportsmanship and cooperation during game play. These goals will be achieved through engaging warm up activities, cooperative games and skill development.

The integration of cooperative games puts emphasis on team building skills. The teaching of good sportsmanship and the idea of inclusion is strongly encouraged. All students are given the opportunity to participate equally.

The Health segment of the program varies for each grade and begins starts in first grade. Students learn about the human body, how the body moves and works, and nutrition.
