A big SHOUT OUT to Mr. George and Mr. Wayne for taking such good care of our home away from home during lockdown and throughout the summer.  As we were all learning and working remotely these two were preparing for our return, being ready on a dime to welcome us back.  Leave it to them to make lemonade out of lemons. During lockdown, there was time to address the well-needed painting of the trim on all our buildings.  When you return, you might notice a bit of extra shine.

Once we learned we weren’t able to come back to finish the 2019/2020 school year they kicked into high gear with annual inspections and standard summer maintenance, in addition to the many classroom switches and furniture moves to make our campus welcoming and ready for our new COVID precautions.  Mr. George was also successful at getting the sound system upgraded, funded by a gift from the Class of 2019 and Class of 2020.  You will find that their work not only focused on the interior but also the exterior campus, where they are now tent installation experts.

In order for us to be best prepared for this year’s learning opportunities, there are facilities projects slated for every day from now until all students arrive by the end of the month.  Each day will bring something new and exciting and we’re so blessed to have these two to bring it all to fruition.

Stay tuned to learn more about who they are outside of our Westfield Friends world…..
