The “Vaping’s Not My Thing” Poster Contest

In March, students in 5th through 8th grades learned about the dangers of vaping and smoking in Health.  They learned that there are thousands of dangerous ingredients in cigarettes including, but not limited to, the following: formaldehyde, rat poison, tar, and battery acid.  They also calculated the costs of smoking and vaping. Did you know that someone smoking a pack a day for 25 years will spend more than $68,000 on cigarettes?

The middle school students were asked to create posters for The “Vaping’s Not My Thing” contest.  Students in 6th-8th were able to submit their posters to the national contest with Scholastic.  Winners will be announced in May.  All middle school students were entered into our very own WFS contest.  The winners of our contest will be announced soon. Please see their posters below.
