1st Grade Presents on Endangered Species in New Jersey

This week, the first grade unveiled their project-based learning presentation!

Teacher Fozia and Teacher Tasama's class informed the school community of several endangered species in New Jersey and what we can do to spread awareness surrounding these animals’ safety.

They all worked towards determining their own answers to the driving question:

"What makes animals endangered and how can we protect endangered animals?"

The students worked in groups, their first foray into working together this way, researching online with Teacher Josh, and reading books from the library and on Epic.

The groups then presented on the endangered species of the Shortnose Sturgeon, Osprey, and the Corn Snake.

It was very informative for all of us! Great work, first grade!
