1. Playtime Sports Tennis  (Pre-K - 2nd Grade)

Playtime Sports is offering this fun multi-age group activity in which students will start mastering the basics of the sport, get exercise, and practice valuable skills.

2. Playtime Sports Flag Football (2nd-8th Grade)

    • Fridays  3:45 - 4:30
    • (Minimum of 6 students)

Playtime Sports is offering this popular activity. No experience is necessary. We’ll learn skills, rules of the game, and PLAY! Students will stay after school in our Extended Day program (no charge) until it is time for Flag Football. They will have time to have a snack, do some homework, or play games with friends.

3. Yoga and Mindfulness  (PreK - 1st Grade)

      (Minimum 5 students)

Back by popular demand!!! Guided by an amazing lead from Higher Minds, the curriculum includes weekly character education themes, mindful breathing, yoga poses, songs, activities, games, and art. Mindfulness practices can help children self-regulate their emotions and become calmer and connected. Each lesson is designed to build upon skills week to week. Examples of weekly themes include empathy, kindness, humility, compassion, and gratitude. Teacher Laura Rubino holds a BA in Psychology, a Master's in Education, a NJ Teaching Certificate (K-8), and an RYT 500 Yoga Certification. Families can keep the mindfulness going at home with Ms. Laura’s weekly Mindful Minute videos on YouTube, offering playful breathing exercises, yoga poses, and calming strategies that parents and children can enjoy together. 📺 YouTube.com/@higherminds

The chess club is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of chess while developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills. Through engaging lessons, interactive gameplay, and age-appropriate instruction, students learn the rules of chess, fundamental tactics, and classic strategies in a supportive and fun environment. Whether your child is a beginner or already knows the basics, our program meets students where they are and helps them grow. Instructors use a blend of demonstration boards, puzzles, guided play, and tournaments to reinforce learning and build confidence on and off the board.

6. Bash the Trash (K- 8th Grade)

Hosted by our very own Ms. Cindy! Join us after school as we work together to keep our campus and community clean, green, and beautiful! At Bash the Trash, students will roll up their sleeves, grab some gloves, and help pick up litter around our school grounds. Along the way, we’ll learn about taking care of the earth, why reducing waste matters, and how small actions can make a BIG difference.

7. Volleyball Club (4th- 8th Grade)

Thursdays 3:30 - 4:15
(Minimum 8 students required, maximum of 15)

We’re excited to offer an after-school Volleyball Club for students in grades 4 through 8! This club is designed to be a fun, inclusive space where students can build skills, confidence, and teamwork through the game of volleyball. Students will learn and practice fundamental volleyball techniques—serving, passing, setting, and hitting—tailored to their age and experience level. Emphasis will be placed on communication, collaboration, and respectful play, helping students grow both as athletes and teammates. Sessions will include structured drills and mini-games. Whether your child is brand new to volleyball or has played before, this club is designed to meet them where they are and help them grow. Above all, we’ll focus on enjoying movement, building friendships, and creating a positive after-school experience. Please have your student come to volleyball club with the following items: comfortable athletic clothing, a water bottle, and closed-toe athletic sneakers are required for safety—no Crocs, sandals, or open-toe shoes, please.

This year, our school will be performing a production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. Everyone can have a part! No experience necessary. Two performances in the spring.

Dungeons & Dragons is one of the most popular games ever created, and this club lets you experience why! Together, we will explore endless possibilities through creative storytelling, imagination, and collaboration to solve problems alongside your party members. Together we will go on incredible adventures, practice good sportsmanship, and develop creative self-expression.

Back by popular demand! Teacher Josh welcomes gaming enthusiasts to spend time together in the math room. A gaming platform and screens are available and students are welcome to bring their own gaming equipment and games (E and E+ ratings, and T ratings with Teacher Josh’s approval) but are responsible for their own equipment. The school will not be liable for lost or damaged student equipment. Students may only bring their equipment on club days and may not use them except during the club.
