We raised over $400!
With our Buddy Program, middle school students partnered with younger grades to help organize and plan this Betting-on-Betty Walk - their first Buddy Outreach Activity.
They walked laps around the campus in support of a former Westfield student, Betty Ammon. Betty was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in February 2024. She is currently under the care of CHOP and is undergoing lifesaving treatment.
Betty is now seven years old. Her beautiful, bubbly personality and infectious smile bring joy to everyone around her. The Ammon family also hopes to help other families who may not receive the critical care their child needs due to insurance restrictions or limited financial resources. Their goal is to give back even as they navigate Betty’s treatment—finding light in a time of great challenge.
Thank you to Mrs. Marrazzo and Mrs. Olsen for organizing this.
Everyone got popsicles at the end of the walk!

This is the first of our Buddy Outreach Activities for the 2025–2026 school year. Each month, we will partner with organizations to give, serve, and work together in support of our greater community through the Buddy Program.
Thank you!
