PreK Become Action Painters

In Pre-K, students have been discovering all the various art materials available in their classroom and learning how to use them properly. They've started exploring watercolors, crayons, markers, colored pencils, and oil pastels. The children are gaining a sense of responsibility and respect for all the art supplies.

Their first featured artist is Jackson Pollock, known as an "action painter." The students donned their smocks and rain boots, heading outside to splash paint on their canvases just like Pollock!

Much more exploration is coming - and in May, Team PreK will present all of their art in the annual PreK Art Show!
