Tis the season for giving thanks!

As we head into the season of giving thanks, we’re excited to share some upcoming opportunities for our students and families to come together and support both our local community and our school programs this November!

Bake Sale: Monday, November 10th - After school in the pick up line
Our Middle School students will be hosting a bake sale to raise funds for Cathedral Kitchen and the Middle School end-of-year trip. Pick up a tasty treat as you pick up your students after school on Monday.

Middle School families, be on the lookout for an email from Teacher Kristin, who will be sending out more details about who will be baking. Not all students will participate in baking this time, as we’ll be hosting a few bake sales throughout the year and spreading out the baking responsibilities.

Food Drive: November 10–14
Mark your calendars for our school-wide Food Drive, which takes place the week of November 10th-15th. We are collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Bread of Life Food Pantry in Palmyra. This is a wonderful chance for our students to learn about generosity and community support.

About the Bread of Life Food Pantry:
Located at Epworth United Methodist Church in Palmyra, the Bread of Life Food Pantry serves local families in need by providing groceries and essential household items. Their mission is to ensure that no neighbor in our community goes hungry, especially during the holiday season.

Annual Thanksgiving Service Project:
All grades will come together on November 11th for our annual Thanksgiving service project to support Cathedral Kitchen

  • PreK–4th grades will be decorating cloth napkins for the Cathedral Kitchen dining room.

  • 5th–8th grades will be assembling sandwiches for their to-go meals.

About Cathedral Kitchen:
Cathedral Kitchen, located in Camden, NJ, provides hot, nutritious meals and meals-to-go to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. In addition to meal service, they offer job training, social services, and support programs to help guests build brighter futures.

How parents can help-

To make the sandwich assembly and to-go meals possible, we are asking our amazing parent community for donations of essential supplies. Click here for the -Sign Up Genius

Please help us by donating:

  • Bread

  • Cheese

  • Bologna

  • Paper bags

  • Sandwich bags

Donated items can be dropped off in the front office starting November 10th.

Thank you for helping us teach our students the joy of giving back and for supporting these meaningful service projects. Together, we can make a real difference in our community!
