Years in education: 25
Years at WFS: This is my third year at Westfield Friends School.
Why I’m Passionate About Quaker EducationAs a Quaker, I believe that there is that of God in every person. That belief guides all of my work as an educator and leader. I believe that within Friends schools through the ways in which beliefs and practices find expression, we are able to create the world we seek for children.
I love reading speculative fiction (right now my favorite author is Nnedi Okorafor), fiction grounded in particular locations (I just finished Brian Doyle's Mink River), and natural science (next up for me is Spying on Whales by Nick Pyenson).
