WEEK 6- Winter in July

HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING

The snow glows white at Westfield Summer Camp
in the middle of July.
A kingdom of winter fun
And it looks like that's no lie!
The wind is howling like the campers singing songs
Ii's Winter in July and that's not wrong!

This week campers let it go and engaged in a variety of winter activities for Winter in July week! On Tuesday they skated and ate pizza at the rink. They also made their own exploding snow men, Winter in July coloring sheets, chill bottles, and played giant versions of Hungry Hungry Hippos and Pin the Nose on the Snowman in the gym. They also dressed themselves and the counselors-in-training up in winter costumes for a winter fashion show.   On Wednesday, they went on an alpine expedition to Wood Park where campers played basketball and Uno and played on the playground.  Campers built their own waterslide and played in the sprinkler during water play activities. For snacks, the campers made their own grinch kebabs, snowgurt, and ate Danish cookies. On Friday we finished off the week by watching a little known film, Frozen!  Here's to more summer adventures at Westfield Summer camp!
