Hello, Preschool 2 Families!

 

Thank you all for joining us at our Spring Parent Teacher Conferences. It has been such  a pleasure to watch the Preschool 2 Team blossom and grow.  We are immensely proud of all the hard work each and every student has demonstrated this year.  

 

We celebrated Earth Day this week with a classroom project on recycling versus garbage.  Each student had the chance to sort various items into "recycling" or "garbage".

 

At Circle Time, we worked together on reading the Sesame Street Little Golden Book "From Trash To Treasure", all about how Sesame Street takes pride in keeping their neighborhood clean with fun different ways to reuse, reduce and recycle.

 

We talked about what part we can play in reusing and reducing everyday waste in our classroom and at home.

 

From the "Hello, World!" series, we looked at the book "Planet Earth" and began talking about all the different animals of our earth's various ecosystems.  We sorted animals into categories of animals who live on land and animals who live in the water. 

 

Ask your student about their favorite animals in each habitat ("Do you know any animals that live in the rainforest?  What animals live in the ocean?")

 

Friday, May 3rd is Grandparents/Grandfriends Day.  We are so excited to welcome the Grandparents and Grandfriends of Preschool 2 into the classroom.  Please check your email regarding previous and upcoming information on the event.
